"World of Warcraft is a MMORPG of epic proportions. There are millions of subscribers across the globe that fight for the glory of the Alliance, or defend the honor of the Horde. One of the most intricate classes to master is that of the warlock. This is a multi-section guide which will focus choosing a racial class, talents, casting guides and macros, gear, pvp strategies, and of course, demons. A warlock is basically a mage who dived a bit too deep in the magic of demonology. Forgoing such schools of magic such as arcane, frost, and nature, the warlock focuses his or her power on the magic of shadow and fire. Most importantly, warlocks have the ability to summon mystical demons which will defend, fight, and add attributes to the warlock master. The first step towards creating a warlock is to determine which racial class is right for you. All warlocks are able to use daggers, wands, swords (with training), and staves (with training). Warlocks are only allowed to wear cloth armor which renders them highly susceptible to melee damage. Keep these facts in mind when choosing a race for your warlock. The races available to warlocks are undead, orc, and blood elf for the Horde. The Alliance are allowed to choose from humans or gnomes. Racial Class - Horde Because the warlock is essentially a caster, it is important to choose a race wisely. There are three races available to the Horde warlock: undead, orc, and blood elf. The Alliance can have human or gnome warlocks. Each class has their advantages and disadvantages both with stats and racial abilities. This portion of the guide will review the attributes of each race as well as certain key abilities which are essential to a warlock's survival. " "Warlocks primary source of DPS (damage per second) comes from their spell casting.
wow gold As a caster, warlocks are given a variety of damage, defensive, and crowd controlling abilities. This portion of the guide reviews the basic warlock spell casting abilities. Warlocks have two main sources of spell damage: shadow and fire. A majority of a warlocks spell damage comes in the form of damage over time or more commonly known as DOTs.
wow gold When entering combat, a lock will generally put their three main DOTs first before casting burst damage. These spells include Corruption, Curse of Agony, and Immolate. By putting damage over time, the warlock must outlast their opponent as this damage is slow.
cheap wow gold As the warlock progresses, they can gain additional DOTs such as Siphon Life and Unstable Affliction. Although DOTs are a lock's main form of dps, they are very efficient at burst damage.
Karazhan Key Guide The main spell for burst damage is called Shadowbolt which has a 3 second cast time and produces shadow damage based upon the warlock's level. As the warlock progresses, they can choose talents which will reduce the casting time of Shadowbolt by 0.5 seconds.
wow gold This reduction in casting time is very valuable as it will help the warlock burn his opponent while the DOTs slowly reduce health points. Other spells which the warlock can use for burst damage are Incinerate which has a 2.5 second casting time and Soul Fire. Soul Fire has the longest casting time (6 seconds) but offers the most burst damage DPS.
mp3 players If the warlock decides to progress down the destruction talent tree, they can choose an instant cast burst spell called Shadowburn. This spell is useful because of the zero cast time however it costs a soulshard to use. If the target dies from Shadowburn damage, the caster will have the soulshard refunded.
wow gold In general, warlocks rely on Shadowbolt as it has the best combination of DPS as well as a short casting time. "
